... but AWEE is helping it get a little bit easier with a Green Career Fair.
Thanks to the Arizona Republic for a great article on AWEE's first Green Career Fair. An estimated 350 people attended this morning's fair, which included 31 employers.
Green jobs means more than just installing green technology. In an excerpt from the article, AWEE's own Anne Marie Sonnier, job developer, shared this:
Anne Marie Sonnier, job developer at Arizona Women's Education and Employment Inc., said one goal is to educate people that green jobs don't just mean installing solar panels or weatherizing houses but could include working in finance, human resources or some other section for a green company.
The green industry can provide new opportunity, even for those with more "traditional" skills - welcome news in the current economy!
